Cardio/Strength

Our bodies are made to move.  Moving around increases blood flow to our muscles, strengthens the heart and lungs, and teaches the heart to work more efficiently.  FAC offers a wide variety of cardio and muscle strengthening classes, including the popular Les Mills formats.  Take a class and leave more energized, confident and proud.

The Cardio/Strength Classes we currently offer are described below.

A sports-inspired cardio workout for strength and stamina. High-energy interval training that combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. Dynamic instructors and powerful music for the weekend athlete to the hard-core competitor!  Options are demonstrated for those wanting lower impact.

BODYCOMBAT™ (a Les Mills™ class)

The empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed.  This fiercely energetic, non contact,  program is inspired by mixed martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, and muay thai.

BODYPUMP™ (a Les Mills™ class)

A total body toning and conditioning class with weights.  Challenge every major muscle group with simple and effective strength training moves.  Weights are adjustable therefore all fitness levels are welcome!  Sign up is required.  Click here to register.

BODYSTEP™ (a Les Mills™ class)

A simple, athletic fun workout suing an adjustable step platforms to vary the intensity.  Great for lower body toning, increased cardio fitness and coordination.

CXWORX™ (a Les Mills™ class)

This 30 minute class is the ultimate way to get a tight and toned core.  Dynamic training that hones in on the abs, glutes, back, obliques, and “slings” connecting the upper and lower body.  Sign up is required.  Click here to register.                       

Zumba®

Move and shake your hips while burning calories and having a blast! Zumba is different, fun, and composed of energetic rhythms that help your body move to the beat! More a party than a workout!

PulsePointe Barre

An innovative and challenging barre experience that seamlessly weaves together traditional muscle-sculpting barre choreography with exhilarating cardio segments to define and challenge the body in a whole new way.  Upbeat music motivates and energizes!  Click here to register.

B5

Barre-Bench-Ball-Band-Balance make up the 5 B’s.  Burn and sculpt is the goal in this high energy class.  A mix of a body sculpting Barre workout with the fat burning benefits of cardio training on the Bench.  Simple and effective moves will help you burn and sculpt your way to a new level of fitness.  Click here to register.

YAH-Young at Heart

This is our functional training class for those over the age of 60.  It will introduce safe and fun exercises that will help improve quality of life.  Taught by our very own former Olympian, Reuben Reina.

Cardio Groove

This class integrates dance, aerobics, funk, and fun to challenge the mind and body.  Great cardio exercise set to fun music.
